Running around the playground with a pretend buggy can be a tough job. Especially when there's no doll or other small person to be found to put in it – which you kinda need. But when Karl's friend Leo finally sat down and waited for his services our little friend was nowhere to be seen anymore...
P.S.: This is also an Awesome Outfits Accessories Edition – Yes, Karl has been wearing his white baby chucks he got from crazy uncle Chris from New York for a while now. Thank you, Chris!

Luckily we have our fashion correspondents Sabine and Bruno in New York to keep us up to date in all things style. They sent us our own pair of Monkeypants and it looks like Karl is enjoying the big city feel quite a bit. What you don't see: for ultimate street cred he's also wearing a Brooklyn onesie underneath. Thank you, Sabsi!

Can you tell that somebody is getting tired of me taking tons of pictures of him? Well, tough luck, because I'm a master blogger now and there's nothing Karl can do about it. Here you see him wearing an awesome onesie which was a gift from his honorary godmother Maria from Frankfurt. The appliqué is called Kapitän Knallerbse which can be loosely translated into Captain Toy Torpedo. Well – I'm sticking to the no poop no fart policy of this blog, so I have nothing more to add other than: Thank you, Maria!

Two Awesome Outfits in a row – boring! I know, but it is particularily important that Karl looks handsome for our main social outings of the week, one being the baby massage class which happened today. So we put on this swell looking green cardigan together with a handmade purple bandana (please note the embroidered heart) that were sent to us from Stefanie and Andrea, our very good friends in – obvious! – one of the fashion capitals of the world, Milan.
And while other babies have to go half naked, Karl is sporting Italian fashion. Thank you Stefanie and Andrea!

This is another lovely overall from Smith Street in Brooklyn. It is so comfortable that in it Karl even changed his attitude towards the lying on the belly thing.
Another pic just for general Karl cuteness.
In other news: The weather is great and the Munich crazies are out again. Here a lonesome guitar player wandering along the river banks.

This was supposed to be an entry about the gripping reflex in babies. It is a relict from our phylogeny when we had to hold on tight to the fur of the mother in order not to fall off of her when things would get rough. The fur is long gone and the new function of the reflex is to render parents helpless in adoration of baby cuteness.
So much for that. Now I have to make this an Awesome Outfits entry though. The pictured suit wasn't a gift from anybody, we bought it ourselves last June at The Green Onion on Smith Street in Brooklyn. We love it and miss our old neighborhood every time we see it on little Karl.
P.S.: Don't think this baby is sleeping ALL the time.

Karl seems to be quite happy to be back home after all those holiday travels and excitements. Time to go back to normal and write another chapter of the Awesome Outfits Series. Even though Karl has a little-bear-allergy these are the type of bears we love. Jessica and Markus from Basel gave us this beautifully screen-printed sweater for Christmas. Thank you Jessica and Markus!

Last week my friend Tine (2nd pic on the left) invited us for a little "Adventskaffee" in order to get some social airing. After being all cute and romantic by looking out of the window for two hours Karl went back to his old gangster self so we left before anything bad could happen.
You might have seen this outfit before, but its origin hasn't been mentioned then. The supercool K.J.F.-Hoodie was given to us by my friend Claudia (on the right) who hand-printed the silver initials. Thank you, Claudia!

Check out this beautiful onesie. It was given to us by our friend Sooki from Göteborg, Sweden. Not only is it the prettiest onesie ever, but it's also made from organic cotton and extremely functional. These Swedes... always one step ahead in the design world. Good thing they have Sooki the Great among them now. She will keep them right on the edge designwise. Thank you, Sooki!
Please read Sooki's blog about how she's adjusting to her new life in Sweden after eight years of New York.

Karl Julius Blog presents: The Awesome Outfits Series.
Karl was lucky to get a lot of gifts so we will showcase them here. Let's start with these supercute little hand-knitted shoes that were a gift from my friend Maria from Frankfurt. They go really well with jeans and are perfect for the cold weather. Thank you, Maria!
