Shopping Spree

I decided to retire. We might as well live off Karl's loot. We went on a shopping spree around Munich's famed Viktualienmarkt and Karl made off with something at literally every single store we went to. Must be those blue eyes he turns into death ray laser beams behind my back, threatening everybody into submission so everybody's giving it up. In the order of appearance there were - a big piece of Gelbwurst at the butcher, two baby bananas at the produce stand, a piece of candy at the baker, a clementine at the juice bar we had a drink at (see insert photo shot by juicebartender), a little bag of gummy bears from the fishmonger ... he actually didn't get a present at the liquor store, but the lady there was heartbroken that she didn't have anything suitable to give him. Highpoint of the spree was the bookstore, Karl's absolute favorite store in the whole wide world. He got to pick one book, so he took his conaisseur's time, browsing and perusing the wares for at least twenty minutes. Instead of going for one of his usual faves (Barbapapa or one of the "Wimmelbücher") he chose an English dictionary for toddlers moderated by a mouse. Of course the shopkeeper gave him a little free book with it. He left the store with a wide swagger proclaiming loudly and proudly: "We bought a MOUSE book!" So loud actually that he managed to get everybody to look. Or maybe he just activated his death ray laser beams again behind my back.
