Therapy

He's looking good, right? But the main actor of this blog has still not fully recovered yet. He is getting better though with the help of all sorts of therapy. Having lived in New York for a while, I figured retail therapy would certainly work, so I got him a baby cell phone as well as his first Brio building block train set thingy. He was only mildly amused. I guess horse power and cell phones don't work for every guy as they keep telling you in Gentlemen's Quarterly magazine.

The only thing that always works is ice cream. Well, at least according to Karl. We told him that we cannot base his whole therapy on ice cream though and this is when he got mad. Understandably so since this week his parents went to the new Jessas ice cream parlor (it belongs to the CafĂ© Maria and Bar Josef imperium) almost every day as part of their therapy for sleep deprivation – the ice cream there is delicious! For now our son Karl still has to rely on the hard, ice cream free drugs from the pharmacy and they seem to be working just fine.

I did get the joke, that it's the whole irony about catholicism thing with these three establishment, because Jessas is Bavarian slang for Jesus. But why does the guy in the Jessas logo look like David Grohl? Is this a take on the whole Foo Fight thing I don't get?
I think I'm just getting too old for smug pop cultural references.
